Did you do the exercise from the last “Thought For The Day”? I hope you found it interesting and thought provoking. If you haven’t done it, or missed the exercise, I invite you to check out the archives and participate.
Those that have completed the task I would imagine are excited about the possibility of such an event taking place! To create a passion though, you need to ensure that it is what you really want. (This is where a lot of people set themselves up to fail!)
The next step is to do an ecology check. An ecology check ensures that if your perfect day were to come to fruition, that people and things external to you are not affected in an unacceptable way.
So, get comfortable and have 10 minutes where you won’t be disturbed. Close your eyes and picture you experiencing your day. Take note of other people and things that are present. How does this perfect day affect them?
Are you relocated? Are you away from family? Do you need to have a resource available to you?
Notice how these changes affect the people in your life, and is their sacrifice too great. How does your day feel now taking into account everything around you?
What you may find is that you need to alter your perfect day a little to be completely comfortable with your family, friends and things that need to change for you.
Take the time to imagine exactly how it will be. Enjoy it, and alter it if necessary to make it the best day for you and everybody involved. You should be smiling at the end of this process.
